Using nutrition to restore health is not that complicated. It can be easily summarized by the old saying:
Garbage In = Garbage Out
I went to school for 3 years to learn the science behind that saying, and to acquire my Board Certification in Holistic Nutrition. The curriculum I studied was heavily science-based, with in-depth modules (as one would expect) on anatomy, physiology, cell structure and metabolism – to name a few key topics, and of course, the biology of food and digestion.
My goal in pursuing a career as a health practitioner was to help people realize the power food has to influence your body’s expression of health or illness. My goal is to reach as many people as I possibly can, and that includes those of you are the “do-it-yourself” kind of people.
If you are a “DIY” type, there are basic dietary and health principals you can use to create your own plan.
You don’t need to be a doctor, nurse, scientist or even a nutritionist to figure out what steps you need to take to once again enjoy vitality, stamina and a greatly reduced risk of disease. And I’m going to tell you how to do it right now.
If you are just a little bit curious, goal-oriented, focused, determined AND you are not dealing with a health crisis or chronic disease, you have a good chance of being successful with a DIY plan.
